Re: Final RPI

Any chance you could update the RPI and NINJAmetrics to include the first round games?

Do you really want to watch Minnesota go down in both polls because you beat a 60-something seeded team by one run? That would kill your OR/DR AND your SOS!

I'd say quit while you're ahead....

I have my reasons...last of which is our #'s. I'd be more interested in a stat line for last team standing or flip cup record.

Re: Final RPI

You can't do a stat line on flip cup. There have been too many conglomeration teams. I mean, BU and BC ended up on the same team at one point. We've also done Sandlot division vs. Florida after the All-Star Game (and yes, Florida lost). And CAN people vs. non-CAN (you can imagine that was a quick win for CAN). Besides, everyone's too drunk to remember who won, what the score was, or if the game was even finished. My favorite was the round w/ Tufts that started w/ 3-on-3 and ended up at 16-on-16 as more people joined in during the round.

As Tufts said, BC players are below average flip cuppers. Even a BU guy who'd never played before was a lot better than they were.

Re: Final RPI

Just like for NCAA basketball, the RPI is a regular-season number only. I'll be happy to share the formula and the regular season data if you want to do the legwork. Just let me know.
